Health & Safety
In accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, the Company accepts its responsibilities to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health & safety at work of its employees and the general public who come into contact with its activities.
In particular, attention shall be paid to the provision & maintenance of:
- Procedures for the safe use of buildings, plant & equipment.
- Safe arrangements for use, handling, storage disposal & transportation of articles & substances.
- A healthy & safe workplace, with safe access to it, egress from it & suitable welfare facilities.
- Safety information, instruction, training & supervision, to avoid hazards to health.
- Systematic assessments of risk to people, buildings & equipment, implementing such safety measures as become necessary in response.
- Suitable Personal Protective Equipment.
- An effective system of joint participation & action on health & safety at work issues.
- An effective procedure for reporting & investigating accidents that involve employees whilst on Company business.
- A system to monitor the effectiveness of health & safety procedures & set targets, where appropriate, to ensure that the intent of this policy is implemented.
It is the duty of both management & employees to assist in providing & maintaining a safe & healthy working environment. Specific health & safety responsibilities of all employees are set out in detail in the subsequent section - ‘ORGANISATION & RESPONSIBILITIES’.
The Company undertakes to implement & maintain as a minimum the standards required by current legislation & to continuously improve wherever practicable.
We are required to have health & safety in mind at all times & by working together towards these policy aims we will minimise risk & promote a safe working environment for the welfare of all employees.
