A&J Fabtech Ltd and Ekströms Värmetekniska AB have come together in a partnership to form A&J Ekströms Ltd, a company that offers an unrivalled level of expertise and experience in the design and supply of extended surface economisers and heat recovery equipment.
A&J Fabtech Ltd was established in 1974 and is part of a group of privately owned UK companies with three factories based in West Yorkshire. A&J Fabtech Ltd provides project management, fabrication, welding, testing and delivery of extended surface economisers and heat recovery equipment and employs key team members of the old economiser company TEI Greens including senior management, project management, works management, welding engineers and other works personnel.
Ekströms Värmetekniska AB is a Swedish company which was founded in 1905. Throughout its 100 year history it has remained a family owned private company and for many years has enjoyed triple ‘A’ financial status. Ekströms engineering office is based in Stockholm and their modern manufacturing facility is in the south of Sweden in Alvesta and produces finned tubes, tube bending, heat treatment, assembly, it has state of the art QA facilities and a skilled workforce offering clients the comfort of guaranteed timely manufacture along with continuing high quality products.
The A&J Ekströms partnership can fairly claim to be the leading European economiser supplier, particularly in the design and manufacture of extended surface units. They have for some 40 years developed expertise in the field of heat recovery from the combustion of a wide range of solid fuels and the associated application of parallel Welded Gill heat exchange surface, commonly known as welded gill economisers. All heat transfer correlations and design criteria have been established in house for an extensive range of gilled fin geometries, enabling A&J Ekströms to offer proven solutions to their clients.
